As a graduate in English Literature and
Classical Civilization, Elizabeth
possesses over three years of experience teaching and tutoring English and
Visual Arts to both children and young adults; she received her Bachelor of
Arts degree from the University
of Toronto.
As an avid volunteer, she enjoys helping
students discover their potential and express their inner creativity through an
array of mediums. While Elizabeth
enjoys all aspects of art, she maintains a strong affinity towards portrait painting.
Notably, she frequents the Art Gallery of Ontario, teaching young children a
variety of arts and crafts at the Hands-On Centre while encouraging them to be
bold and passionate as they work on different projects.
Elizabeth
has also tutored many students in English – from Grade 1 to College/University.
She assists them with reading comprehension, essay writing and developing solid
study habits. Her lesson plans consist of both audio and visual aids; her
creative initiatives have helped others better absorb a range of material. Constantly
aware of the fact that each tutee learns differently, she focuses on
individualizing her sessions, ultimately allowing her students to excel in
their studies.
